Thanks for Thanksgiving.

Thank you, whomever it was that came up with a November Holiday. I realize that right around the corner there is Christmas but I cannot possibly thank enough whomever it was who relegated this Holiday to November.
OK, well the weather has been nice. I am still waiting for the storms. But the frenzy that I have felt at work and at home have been enough to send me into permanent fry brain status. Now I walk outside to start my car in the morning with a hair brush in my hand instead of my keys. I seem a bit delayed in my every day life. I am always a second short on my responses, my quips fall flat. My timing is off. I just need a break.
This is a great one as Holidays go. I am sure if I sat and thought long enough I would come up with a reason not to like Thanksgiving but no, I refuse. I love it. I love my upcoming 4 day weekend.
I am even thankful this year for many things that I have not been thankful for in the past. Some might call it old age but I am thankful because my insurance premium went down and my stocks went up. I am thankful that I can go to my Mom's for the Holiday and still have a few days to sleep in when we get back. Of course, I am thankful for my health, my happiness blah blah blah, but mostly I am just thankful for the break.
